Liv Morgan is coming after the SmackDown Women’s Title

Published on

Although Charlotte Flair captured the “WWE SmackDown” Women’s Championship on December 30th’s episode of “SmackDown,” multiple competitors have since set their sights on dethroning her, including Sonya Deville. Among them, Liv Morgan has hinted at her interest in reclaiming the title she once held, sharing a photo from a recent live event on social media.

Flair, Morgan, and Deville faced off in a triple threat match for the title in Columbus, Georgia, this weekend, which Flair ultimately won. Ahead of the bout, a photo of Morgan inside the ring with her gaze fixed on the championship was shared on her Twitter profile, indicating her desire to reclaim the title.

Charlotte Flair may already have her opponent for WWE WrestleMania 39 determined, as Rhea Ripley selected her following her victory in the women’s Royal Rumble match at the latest pay-per-view event. Nevertheless, Flair’s championship status is not guaranteed, as she has demonstrated her determination as a defending champion by successfully retaining the title against Deville in two separate matches on “SmackDown.”

The possibility of Flair defending her title again remains uncertain; however, a potential challenge from Morgan could be a future option for WWE. Morgan nearly won the Rumble, having lasted the entire match alongside Ripley as the last person to be eliminated.
