FTR Announces Retirement Plan Upon Completion of AEW Contracts

Published on

Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler have been widely regarded as one of the most successful tag teams in the professional wrestling industry over the past decade. There has been a lot of speculation about their future in AEW, but FTR recently ended up signing a new contract with the company. Despite this, they have revealed that they plan to retire from wrestling for good once their current contracts expire.

FTR had an outstanding year in 2022, capturing the AAA Tag Team Titles, ROH Tag Team Titles, and IWGP Tag Team Titles, solidifying their status as one of the top tag teams in the history of professional wrestling.

FTR also recently captured the AEW Tag Team Championships, cementing their position as one of the top teams in the company.

During Wednesday’s Rampage tapings, Cash Wheeler announced that FTR signed a new four-year deal with AEW. He then revealed that once this four-year deal expires, they will retire.

With four years left on their contracts, it remains to be seen what FTR will accomplish in the future. For now, their focus is on retaining their AEW World Tag Team Championships.
