Several WWE main roster Superstars have found their way back to the NXT brand in a recent shift of events. Last week, Mustafa Ali and Baron Corbin returned to NXT, with Ali set to kickstart his run with a match this week.
During the May 30th episode of NXT, Mustafa Ali made a surprise appearance, joining the commentary team for a match featuring NXT North American Champion Wes Lee. The situation took a dramatic turn when Joe Gacy launched an attack on Lee and Tyler Bate following their victory over The Dyad.
Quick to respond, Mustafa Ali intervened, halting Gacy’s assault and ensuring the safety of Lee and Bate. This week on NXT, Ali, and Gacy will have the opportunity to settle their differences in the ring.
