Tag Team Legends Talk Career, Unity, and Potential Singles Match in AEW on the Swerve City Podcast
The Young Bucks, one of the most celebrated tag teams in professional wrestling, have made it clear that they have no intention of splitting up. In a recent appearance on the Swerve City Podcast, Matt and Nick Jackson discussed their journey as a tag team, their aspirations, and the possibility of a singles match on AEW’s Dynamite.
The brothers reflected on their early days as singles wrestlers and how they were initially against forming a tag team. Matt said, “We were kind of against it at first… It was almost forced upon us… It became to the point where it was undeniable… Let’s stop fighting this and do it.” Nick added, “We haven’t separated since.”
Despite their unity, Nick did concede that they would like to have a singles match at some point in AEW. “I would like to do a singles match at some point on Dynamite. I think it’d be fun, and fans would like it. We don’t need a feud; just a random singles match at some point… Maybe in a tournament setting,” said Nick.
The Young Bucks also talked about their time in TNA and their decision to re-sign with AEW. Their commitment to each other and their craft has resonated with fans, and their openness to a singles match has added a new layer of excitement to their future in AEW.
