Seth Rollins showcased his strong work ethic on RAW last month by defending his title against Jinder Mahal. He suffered an injury because of the match, and Mahal has now revealed what happened backstage immediately after Seth Rollins was injured.
Jinder Mahal challenged the World Heavyweight Champion in the main event of the January 15th edition of Monday Night RAW. As expected, he lost after a solid match, but WWE officials were informed about Seth Rollins’ injury.
While speaking to Gorilla Position, Jindel Mahal revealed that initially, they weren’t sure about the severity of Seth Rollins’ injury, and there was obvious concern about his WrestleMania status.
“Yeah, we didn’t know how serious the injury was at that point. [I] just was hoping for the best for Seth. He has been such a great champion, and he’d mentioned he’d never gone to WrestleMania as a champion, and that’s a big thing for him.”
Seth Rollins recently claimed he is mere days away from getting cleared for an in-ring return. Only time will tell if Rollins will be fully prepared for his WrestleMania 40 match as we slowly approach the Showcase of The Immortals.
