Kyle O’Reilly battles alone before FTR secures a brutal main event win
Summary
– Roderick Strong suffers a serious knee injury early in the match
– Kyle O’Reilly fights two-on-one but FTR’s teamwork proves too much
– Daniel Garcia vows revenge after another post-match assault by FTR
FTR and Paragon collided again on the April 26 edition of AEW Collision, this time in a brutal rubber match with playoff implications for Double or Nothing. The contest quickly became two-on-one after Roderick Strong’s knee was crushed between the ring post and steel steps.
Kyle O’Reilly fought with everything he had, trying to withstand the numbers game, but FTR’s strategy and aggression dominated. Strong attempted a comeback on one leg, but the damage proved too much. FTR targeted the injured limb relentlessly, eventually hitting the spike piledriver to finish the match.
After the bell, FTR wasn’t done. They delivered a Shatter Machine to Strong while Adam Cole watched helplessly from the ramp. Daniel Garcia stormed the ring with a crowbar to fend off FTR and Stokely Hathaway, promising to pursue FTR weekly until he got his payback.
