Kofi and Woods call out Penta and demand respect for tag team etiquette
Summary
– The New Day blasted the War Raiders for winning with outside interference
– Penta was blamed for helping the War Raiders beat Judgment Day
– Kofi and Woods say tag team wrestling is about elegance, not chaos
Following the April 28 edition of WWE Raw, The New Day were furious after watching the War Raiders defeat the Judgment Day under questionable circumstances. In a backstage Raw exclusive, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods didn’t hold back, accusing the War Raiders and Penta of disrespecting the rules and the division.
Kofi called out the War Raiders for celebrating a win they didn’t earn, citing Penta’s interference as the turning point in the match. Woods added that the War Raiders wouldn’t have stood a chance without outside help, and slammed the idea that they deserve a title opportunity.
Penta also caught heat from The New Day, with Kofi accusing him of breaking every rule in the book. “He doesn’t even know how things work around here,” Kofi said. “You can’t just come out and interfere in a tag match and pretend like it means nothing.”
The New Day also criticized the War Raiders for attacking them while they were on commentary. “We weren’t even in the match,” Woods said. “Don’t throw people at us when we’re not involved.”
Doubling down on their frustration, Woods pointed to their expensive attire to symbolize what sets them apart. “This is tag team elegance,” he said. “They bring war, we bring style — and that’s why they don’t deserve these titles.”
