TNA Champion reveals Cena’s praise and hints at major musical support
Summary
– Joe Hendry says a dream match with John Cena “makes more sense than ever”
– Reveals post-WrestleMania 41 advice and praise from Cena backstage
– Teases a major music artist might back him, like Travis Scott does for Cena
TNA World Champion Joe Hendry believes he’s on a collision course with John Cena—and he’s already planting seeds to make it happen. Speaking on The Ariel Helwani Show, Hendry said he felt his recent Royal Rumble and WrestleMania appearances would come true—and now has the same gut feeling about stepping into the ring with Cena.
“It just now makes more sense than ever,” Hendry said. “He’s got Travis Scott. Can you imagine if a huge star in music just reached out to Joe Hendry?” The Scottish star hinted that a big-name artist in the same genre had already shown interest and invited him to a recent concert.
Hendry also revealed details of a private backstage conversation with Cena following WrestleMania 41. “John came right up to me and said, ‘You did exactly what I told you to do, and you were great tonight.’” Hendry called Cena’s public endorsement on The Pat McAfee Show the biggest compliment of his career. “I really did take his advice to heart,” he said.
With Cena’s in-ring retirement approaching and roughly 20 matches left, Hendry believes there’s still plenty of time to make this dream showdown a reality.
