Dominik Mysterio Declares Legacy Is Secure After WrestleMania 41 Win

Intercontinental Champion says he’s better than Rey, Eddie, and everyone in between

Summary

– Dominik Mysterio says winning the Intercontinental Title at WrestleMania 41 “just feels right”

– Dismisses legends like Bret Hart and Stone Cold, placing himself above all

– Teases Money in the Bank tag team cash-in with JD McDonagh as Judgment Day regroups

Dominik Mysterio isn’t just carrying the Intercontinental Championship—he’s carrying a chip on his shoulder big enough to crack legends. Fresh off his WrestleMania 41 title win, Mysterio sat down with the Baby Faces podcast and clarified that the greatest living Mysterio is no longer in question.

“It just feels right,” Dominik said, describing life as a singles champion. “No Rey. No drama. Just Dirty Dom doing what he does best.” That swagger wasn’t just for show. He dismissed all-time greats like the Honky Tonk Man, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, and even Stone Cold Steve Austin. His top three? Himself, Eddie Guerrero, and JBL. “They’re fossils. I’m better than all of them.”

Dominik’s confidence hasn’t waned since winning the title, nor has his winning streak. He’s already beaten Penta twice, including a defense the night after WrestleMania. Looking ahead to their Backlash clash, he isn’t expecting a challenge. “I already beat this old bastard twice. I’ll make it three. Just another day for Dirty Dom.”

The conversation shifted to the state of the Judgment Day. Despite speculation of tension with Finn Bálor, Dom brushed off the rumors, noting, “He’s been the dad that stepped up.” He acknowledged that pinning Bálor at WrestleMania may have caused friction, but emphasized that gold is good for the group. The return of JD McDonagh has revitalized the stable, with Dominik praising JD as “muscle we needed.”

Dominik also teased a surprising plan—possibly becoming the first to cash in a Money in the Bank briefcase on tag titles. “Everyone wants to be selfish and go for singles gold,” he said. “Me? I want to bring my boys with me.” He sees Judgment Day dominating across divisions, whether with JD, Bálor, or even Carly.

And while he’s set to return to Raw at Louisville’s KFC Yum Center, he made one thing clear: the building still owes him some fried chicken. “They call it the Yum Center. I’ve never been offered a single chicken tender. That’s why I hate it.”

Dominik Mysterio is focused on legacy—not just living up to his family name, but rewriting it entirely.
