Surprise interference helps Fatu in chaotic fatal four-way

Summary

– Jacob Fatu retained the United States Title in a wild opener at Backlash

– Jeff Cobb debuted by attacking LA Knight and aligned with Solo Sikoa

– Priest and McIntyre crashed through a table during a brutal ringside brawl

WWE Backlash opened with a high-impact United States Championship match as Jacob Fatu defended his title against LA Knight, Drew McIntyre, and Damian Priest. The crowd in St. Louis was hot from the start, chanting for tables as chaos unfolded in and around the ring.

Fatu used his speed and power to control key moments, while McIntyre and Priest brutalized each other atop a production crate. Priest delivered a South of Heaven through a table, drawing a “holy sh\*t” chant from the crowd.

LA Knight nearly had the match won after hitting a string of elbows on Fatu, but interference changed everything. Solo Sikoa pulled Fatu off a table, preventing Knight from landing a high-risk move. Moments later, Jeff Cobb leapt over the barricade and blindsided Knight.

Though Fatu appeared conflicted about Cobb’s help, he still capitalized with a top-rope moonsault to retain his title. Cobb then stood with Solo Sikoa, signaling a new alliance in the Bloodline.
