– Amazon plans a full franchise revival with a live tour and streaming channel

The Miz is headed from the WWE ring to the gladiator arena. Amazon has officially announced that Mike “The Miz” Mizanin will host the highly anticipated reboot of American Gladiators, set to air on Prime Video.

Barry Poznick, GM of MGM Alternative, called Miz “the perfect host for the new era of this iconic franchise.” Known for his charisma and larger-than-life presence, Miz is expected to bring the same energy to the new show that made him a household name in WWE.

The updated series will feature an all-star lineup of modern gladiators—from bodybuilders to former D1 athletes and CrossFit champions—who will face off against challengers in a mix of classic and newly designed events. Fan favorites like “Gauntlet,” “Hang Tough,” and “The Eliminator” will return with modern upgrades.

While the premiere date is still under wraps, Amazon has ambitious plans for the franchise, including a Live Nation tour and a dedicated 24/7 streaming channel offering round-the-clock Gladiators content.
