The film, produced by The Rock’s Seven Bucks Productions, combines archival audio, surreal reenactments, and exclusive interviews with Kaufman’s friends, family, and colleagues. The project brings Kaufman’s unpublished audio journals to life through inventive puppetry, providing a deeply personal window into his world.
Executive producers on the documentary include Triple H, David Letterman, and others, while The Rock, Dany Garcia, Hiram Garcia, and Brian Gewirtz serve as producers. The film also features appearances from David Letterman, Carol Kane, Michael Kaufman, and Carol Kaufman-Kerman.
Andy Kaufman was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2023, cementing his reputation as a boundary-pushing entertainer who blurred the lines between comedy, performance art, and wrestling. This new documentary promises to deliver an intimate look at his creative process and enduring impact, thanks to a partnership between WWE and Hollywood icons.
