Daryl Dixon, the popular spinoff of The Walking Dead, will be taking a fresh direction as it heads into Season 3. Showrunner David Zabel recently shared insights with The Hollywood Reporter about the team’s decision to shift the setting to keep the series evolving. Season 2, now available on AMC+, concluded with a cliffhanger, leaving Daryl and his group heading to an unknown destination. Zabel explained that this roadshow approach keeps the characters on a continuous journey, which helps the show reinvent itself by exploring new cultures and environments.

Zabel noted that Daryl’s story would remain mobile, with the characters striving to find their way home but never settling down. He teased that locations might change not only in Season 3 but also in future installments. Zabel hinted that each season could explore a different place, aiming to keep the characters constantly struggling and adapting.

Meanwhile, AMC’s The Walking Dead: Dead City prepares for its second season set in a post-apocalyptic New York City. Fans can look forward to the return of franchise favorites Lauren Cohan and Jeffrey Dean Morgan, joined by new additions like Dascha Polanco as Major Lucia Narvaez and Kim Coates in a significant role.

Daryl Dixon Season 3 is expected to premiere in 2025, promising another intense survival and exploration season.
