Stephanie McMahon has delivered some of WWEs most iconic slaps, using them to command respect, fuel rivalries, and establish herself as a top heel. Speaking on The Pat McAfee Show, she revealed the advice she received early on about making her signature move look as real as possible.
I dont remember when my first slap was, but I remember the advice I got. All the boys were like, you gotta lay it in, Steph, it gotta look good. And make sure you don’t pop anybody’s eardrum; you gotta hit them in a particular spot, but struck them, McMahon recalled.
Her ability to get under the audience’s skin has made her one of WWE’s most compelling villains. I love being a heel, yes. Hate being a babyface, its the worst, she admitted. Even when I was growing up, I loved heels. I didnt like cheering for Hogan. He was the most over ever, but I wasnt on the bandwagon.
McMahon recently appeared surprised at the Royal Rumble, signaling that she may be back in WWEs orbit. She is also working on Stephanies Places, an ESPN+ series where she will follow WWE stars to discuss their careers and journeys in the industry.
