Are you ready? Starting on April 1, WWE has a brand-new home in India,” he said, emphasizing that all major WWE events, including WrestleMania, will be part of the new Netflix lineup.
For over two decades, WWE had been a staple on Sony Sports Network, which previously hosted exclusive Superstar Spectacle events for Indian fans. However, the shift to Netflix is part of WWE’s historic $5 billion deal with the streaming service, announced in January 2024.
This transition has also had ripple effects across international media rights. AEW has since secured a deal with Fox Sports Mexico, while TNA partnered with Sportsnet in Canada, both networks that previously aired WWE content. As WWE embraces its streaming future, other wrestling promotions find new broadcast opportunities worldwide.
