– Lauren Cohan directs two episodes and returns alongside Jeffrey Dean Morgan

The Walking Dead: Dead City returns for its second season on May 4, 2025, bringing eight new episodes filled with tension, betrayal, and survival. Set six months after the events of season one, the show continues the uneasy alliance—and growing rift—between Maggie and Negan.

Lauren Cohan and Jeffrey Dean Morgan reprise their roles as executive producers and stars, with Cohan directing two episodes. The returning cast includes Gaius Charles, Željko Ivanek, Mahina Napoleon, and others, while newcomers such as Kim Coates and Dascha Polanco join the chaos.

AMC released the opening minutes of season two during IGN Fan Fest, revealing that Manhattan’s power struggle now involves harvesting walkers to create fuel. This aligns with the premiere episode, “Power Equals Power,” highlighting the dangerous politics that define the island’s battle lines.

Season 2 focuses on a split between Maggie and Negan as they navigate the growing war for New York City’s future. Their struggle may be more harrowing than imagined, with loyalties tested and lines drawn.

Episode Titles and Dates:
– Episode 201: “Power Equals Power” – May 4
– Episode 202: “Another Shit Lesson” – May 11
– Episode 203: “Why Did the Mainlanders Cross the River?” – May 18
– Episode 204: “Feisty Friendly” – May 25
– Episode 205: “The Bird Always Knows” – June 1
– Episode 206: “Bridge Partners Are Hard to Come by These Days” – June 8
– Episode 207: “Novi Dan, Novi Poćetak” – June 15
