The renowned wrestler faces an unfortunate setback, expecting a lengthy recovery
Bryan Danielson revealed that he believes he broke his forearm during his highly anticipated match at the Forbidden Door event. The injury occurred during his intense encounter with Kazuchika Okada, leaving Danielson facing a potentially lengthy recovery period.
During the Forbidden Door media scrum, Danielson expressed his concern, stating that he suspected he had broken his right forearm towards the end of his match. When questioned about his potential participation on Dynamite, Danielson acknowledged that he expected to be sidelined for approximately six to eight weeks.
“We think I fractured my right forearm with about ten minutes left to go,” Danielson shared. “But talking to our doctors, and I love the AEW medical staff and trainers, they think it’s going to be six to eight weeks for this specific injury.”
Reflecting on the incident that caused the injury, Danielson identified a particular spot during the match where Okada executed a top rope elbow. Danielson acknowledged that his arm was not in a safe position upon impact. During the press conference, Danielson disclosed that he had previously suffered a torn labrum in a match against MJF at Revolution in March.
Following the bout with MJF, Danielson’s appearances have been limited, with his participation restricted to just one match. Alongside the Blackpool Combat Club, he emerged victorious in an Anarchy in the Arena match against The Elite at Double or Nothing in May.
The injury to Danielson’s forearm presents an unfortunate obstacle in his wrestling journey. As the renowned athlete faces a period of recovery and rehabilitation, the wrestling world eagerly awaits his triumphant return, hoping to witness his unrivaled skills and undeniable passion once again.
