Valkyria Emerges from Defeat with Renewed Vigor and Focus on Jacy Jayne
Following an impressive performance against Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley, Lyra Valkyria is more determined than ever. Despite falling short of victory, Valkyria sees the match as a turning point in her career, a sentiment she shared in an exclusive interview on NXT.
“Came up short, Mackenzie, this is the most fulfilled, this is the most awake I have felt since I came here to NXT, since I moved across the world. That was not a loss out there. That was the awakening I needed,” Valkyria shared, reflecting on her match with Ripley.
Valkyria’s resolve is clear as she sets her sights on her next challenge, Jacy Jayne. “Lyra Valkyria is ready to move forward and move on to whatever’s next because that is the most alive I have ever felt. And Rhea Ripley is no joke. She is everything she said she was. And now I’m gonna be everything I know I can be.”
When asked about Ripley’s sign of respect following their match, Valkyria acknowledged its significance. “That meant everything. But I know it wasn’t, congrats kid, you’re ready now. That was, this is the start. And you better move on from here you better step up and I will not let Mami down.”
As Valkyria continues her journey in WWE, her newfound determination and focus are sure to make her a formidable contender in the NXT arena.
