WWE Announces the Return of 'No Mercy' with NXT Special in September

NXT No Mercy Set to Take Place in Bakersfield, California, Marking the Revival of the Iconic Event

WWE is bringing back the ‘No Mercy’ event, this time as an NXT special. Shawn Michaels made the announcement during a media call on Thursday. NXT No Mercy is set to take place in Bakersfield, California, on Saturday, September 30. The event will be held at the Mechanics Bank Arena and will be streamed live on the Peacock WWE Network.

Tickets for NXT No Mercy will go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Pacific Time on Friday, August 4. A ticket presale will begin at 10 a.m. Pacific on Wednesday, August 2.

This marks the first time WWE has used the ‘No Mercy’ name since 2017. The event originated in 1999 and ran through 2008 before making a brief return in 2016 and 2017. ‘No Mercy’ was also the title of a critically acclaimed WWE video game for Nintendo 64 released in 2000.

Since the beginning of this year, all of NXT’s streaming specials have been held on the road instead of at the WWE Performance Center. The next stop for NXT is Cedar Park, Texas, for the Great American Bash on Sunday, July 30.
