Dominik Mysterio’s New ‘VILLANO’ Tattoo: A Symbol of His WWE Heel Status
Dominik Mysterio, one of WWE’s most despised heels, is not just comfortable with the boos and jeers he receives from the crowd – he’s wearing them as a badge of honor. Mysterio has chosen to etch his WWE persona onto his skin in a bold move, with a new tattoo that leaves no doubt about his heel status.
Mysterio, son of the legendary Rey Mysterio, already sports several tattoos. His latest addition, however, is a striking statement piece. The word “VILLANO” now adorns his neck, running vertically down the length of it. The term, translating to “villain”, is a clear nod to the heat he’s been receiving from WWE fans worldwide.
This move seems reminiscent of Cody Rhodes, who tattooed his own branding on his neck to solidify his “American Nightmare” persona. Mysterio took inspiration from Rhodes, using his new ink to lock down his own WWE gimmick.
Mysterio is set to defend his NXT North American Title against Mustafa Ali and Wes Lee in a triple threat match at NXT’s Great American Bash. This match promises to be an epic showdown and will also be the first time fans get to see Mysterio’s new tattoo in action.
